George "Joe" Slaght
1961-2009
After a short but courageous battle with cancer, George
“Joe” Slaght passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009 in
his 49th year.
Loving father of Amberlee & her husband Gord Norris, George “Joey”, Paige, James, Jacob and Marlene “Lizzie”, all of London. Proud Pappa to his grandchildren Gordon & Greenlee, both of London. Beloved son of Barbara Yeck of Belmont. Predeceased by father George (1973) and Stepfather Russell (2009). Brother of Tracey & her husband Keith Groeneveld of London, Joshua Slaght & his wife Andrea of Lucan and Bond Yeck & his wife Michelle of Belmont. Joe will be greatly missed by his best friends Ron & Wanda Talbot of London.
Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Thursday, September 17th, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-8 p.m.
Funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 8:00 p.m.
Donations to London Regional Cancer Program would be greatly appreciated by the family.
